Still tryout

What is club soccer, and how is it different from rec soccer?

Rec soccer is considered "non-competitive" and is designed to get children involved with the sport; get them out playing the game, learning about the game, and having fun.  Equal playing time is encouraged and the skill level of players will vary drastically.

Club soccer is considered "competitive" and is for dedicated players looking to take their game to the next level.  Club players will receive a higher level of instruction from experienced and licensed coaches.  Playing time is earned and not always equal, and there is a focus on individual player development.  If a player is no longer challenged at the Rec level, and/or if a player wants to play into high school and college, playing competitive club soccer is essential.

CLUB SOCCER AT HOMECOMING PARK

SFC has partnered with GTFC Impact to provide club/travel soccer for SFC players at Homecoming Park, as part of the larger GTFC West campus.  GTFC is a premier soccer club for players ranging in age from 5 to 19.  They provide multiple levels of competition so that all players, regardless of experience, are able to obtain a quality soccer education in an environment that fosters a passion for the game.  Players are developed based on their three pillars of success: strength, unity, and discipline.  More information on GTFC Impact is available at https://greatertoledofc.org/.
