“Rebranded Image, Refreshed Look, Renewed Commitment”
My name is Adam Sloan, and I am going to serve as the first President of Springfield FC (SFC). I wanted to introduce myself and make sure everyone was aware of SFC’s renewed vision and goals: where we are, what we’re doing, and where we want to be as an organization. Now that tryouts are over, the fall season is approaching and I wanted to provide some information to help improve your family’s experience.
The goals of the soccer club are simple: to enable children of all ages to play competitive soccer at the highest level they wish, in a safe and positive environment. We want to develop well-rounded soccer players while teaching respect, humility, integrity, reward through effort, and fair play at all times. We want the players to have fun and enjoy this beautiful game.
Heading into the fall season, the club will have 8 teams competing in Northwest Ohio Youth Soccer League (NWOYSL). Springfield FC has formed a new bond with Springfield Soccer Association (SSA) to forge a better partnership between recreational and competitive soccer. This will give us a pipeline of players that will help the club grow and stabilize as we move forward.
We have launched a new logo and identity to rebrand our club. From the ground up, we revamped the logo with efforts to pay homage to the club that preceded SFC. Keeping the core colors of Black, White, and Royal Blue were an important part of designing the crest.
A new website has been launched to provide clear and timely information. It is still in the process of being updated and fine-tuned. You can log in at www.springfieldfc.club.
Along with the rebranded image and look comes a new uniform. We are changing to a whole new uniform kit. All club members will be required to purchase a new uniform to meet the club’s requirements for participation. It will also be required that players wear the approved uniform pieces to games and training functions. Those pieces are as follows: game jersey, game shorts, game socks to all competitive matches; training jersey, training shorts, black generic/Under Armour socks or game socks to all training activities. The cost may be a little higher, but we believe this is essential to our goal of bringing a quality experience to you and your player.
The club has a renewed interest in player development with several initiatives in the works. We will continue to take player development very seriously. SFC has dedicated coaches who coordinate and plan their team practices, clinics and other training programs in order to enhance the learning experience of the players.
